Warm 'n' Well
warmer homes, healthy families
Welcome to Warm 'n' Well. This is a new exciting Waitemata District Health Board programme offering free insulation for families living in homes built before 1978 and a free family health and social assessment. The Waitemata District comprises Waitakere City, North Shore City and the Rodney District.
Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) has been contracted by Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) to manage and implement this programme.
Warm ‘n’ Well will start in Ranui (West Auckland) and will gradually be offered across the Waitemata District Health Board region.

A nurse will visit and talk with you about your family’s health and can help you contact useful services.
Can I apply?
If you rent privately or own your own home and can answer yes to all the questions below you can apply.
- Do you live in West Auckland, North Shore or Rodney?
- Do you have a child aged 14 years or under living in your home?
- Was your home built before 1978?
- Do you have a Community Services Card or are you eligible for one?
- I own my own home or rent privately (I do not rent a Housing New Zealand home)

Getting your landlord’s permission
If you live in a private rental property your landlord will need to agree to the insulation. Please fill out the application first and the insulators, Eco Insulation (Eco Charitable Trust), will contact your landlord later.

Warm ‘n’ Well is managed by the Auckland Regional Public Health Service in association with Waitemata District Health Board. Eco Insulation (Eco Charitable Trust) will provide the insulation.
Your contact and housing details will be sent to Eco Insulation (Eco Charitable Trust) so the right insulation can be offered for your home. Information regarding insulation is routinely passed onto the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority.
